The car is pretty much branch new. It randomly wo not start. There is no turnover when l turn the key. l got it ''serviced and tested'' by VW, and they said EVERYTHING was fine with it. Obviously not because it still randomly wo not start. Everything else works - air, radio, lights, but l only hear a click when l try to start it. WHY!???? (they also checked the starter). My guess is computer problem?? ANYONE??

im not a car mechanic but it could possibly be your fuel pump. it might not be getting any gas to the engine.

l would have the stealer check the relays for the )($&^$%(*&(# security system. They failed on my 2003 the 2nd day l owned it, and caused just that symptom. 1 click, then nothing. They actually had to send a rollback from Ann Arbor to Adrian to pick the car up and fix it.

It is not fixed. But it is one of those ''gremlin'' things. If it does not show that it is not working ''when they try it'' then what is there to fix? To them everything works. It has to happen to them for them to isolate the problem.
It could be ignition switch, or starter solenoid, or battery?
But why switch out these parts when it might not be any of them?
It has to happen to the mechanic. ((And u know of course - That is the time when the car decides not to act up)).
Computer is not involved(otherwise all the cars would be sitting on the side of the road waiting for the next Microsoft update ''which is late of course''.) The oil companies would not like that. They have to keep running.
