l would never buy a Volkswagen..especially if you are not a mechanic.

The quality and reliability of the Honda Accord is light years better. l would look Japanese over German if this is your first car.

nice enough car but l would wait a while as its too new & will have teething problems. The bmw 1 series is a good car but if u bought one within the first 1-2 years of its release it had numerous problems - neighbour bought one & had nothing but problems with it, he even had a newer version of the 1 series as a courtesy car when his was getting fixed & he said it was much better made. Also, as a first car l would not buy something new & expensive as u r almost guaranteed to have an accident within 2 years of passing ur test. You will also lose a fortune when u drive it out of the showroom.

Get a green car a honda prius. Watch out for new changes because not enough people drove them for the recalls and such. Just be careful. Test drive and take your time you do not have to rush or be rushed it is your money and your choice.

the vw jetta is a very good car. vw are one of the best built cars out there. l own jettas my whole life and never really had a problem. you just have to do the reagular maintnes and they will run for ever.

The Jetta is a good car. If u get one, get the 2.5-litre 5-cylinder or the 2.0 TD l diesel. The 2.0T gasoline engine is notorious for some reliability issues. l have the 2.5 in my Volkswagen Rabbit combined with the 5-speed manual & it has not caused me any trouble at all. They're also very safe & have excellent interiors.

Sidenote: LOL at the chick who suggested a ''Honda Prius.'' The Prius is a Toyota, first of all, & it is no ''greener'' than the clean diesel Jetta TDI, which is capable of 50 MPG on the highway if you're taking it easy.
