do you think that l should still get it despite its mileage?

No, as a matter of fact, that is kind of low. Take into concideration that this car is 14 years old. l have a 93 Buick and it has 198,000 on it. l would take it to a mechanic and have it checked out before l bought it.

l would heasitate even with shorter mileage. GT l models and especially WW have often been driven by young drivers. And guess how a young driver drives a GTI?
If l would consider buying l would demand a perfect service log. And l would be very very kinky checking change periods for timingbelt and pressure wheel .

That is not high for any car made in 2000+

It is good on gas for a 180HP Turbocharged car. It gets up to 31mpg highway.

It will still be fun and fast for a long time.

Depends on the driver before you. Maybe he was a travelling salesman. Meaning he put on a few more miles than the average 9-5 worker.

Taxi companies buy used police cars (even if they have a swack of miles on them) because the engines were always hot & they last a long time if they r constantly lubed.and drive them for years more.
It is the morning cold starting that wears the crap out of the engine(as the oil has all dribbled down into the oil pan) & is no longer on the cylinder walls lubing.
When u get it the first thing u should do is replace the timing belt. Chances r the last owner did not do that. Even if it looks good, replace it. Looks can be deceiving. They just snap. End of story. Motor job. Much simpler & less costly just to change it. Would not be surprized if u got another 95 out of it.

Mileage is so over rated! It all depends on how the vehicle was taken car of . l am driving a 93 dodge truck with 215,000 miles on it! l do not think this truck would still be on the road if it wasn't! SO YES YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

l have the similar Passat 2002 GLX 4motin 94.000 If you will change oil regular fuil a good gas do not make any pressure on car you get 300.000 miles , but ones in a while you will have to change some parts .
